What the site collects
Very little. If you send an enquiry through the form, the details you type (your name, company, email address and message) are delivered to me by Netlify Forms and stored in Netlify's form dashboard so I can reply; I use them for that and for nothing else, and I delete them when the conversation is over. There is no analytics, no advertising and no cookies set by this site. The pages are served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when) for a short period to run and secure the service. The typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address when the page loads.
When you email me
If you write to chris@emliss.com, I keep your name, your email address and what you wrote so that I can reply and, if we go on to work together, remember what we discussed. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not share your details with anyone else unless you ask me to. If you would like me to delete our correspondence, say so and I will.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think I have handled it badly. Email me first and I will sort it out.
